Sandra Ninić Petrić

Born in Raška, Serbia (1997)

Sandra Ninić Petrić is a contemporary Serbian painter whose work bridges collage and painting, creating layered visual narratives that oscillate between figuration and abstraction. She holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Painting from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade and is a member of KLU Raška, UVUČ, ULUS, and ULUPUDS. Her works are included in numerous private collections across the former Yugoslavia and Austria.

Each painting begins with a collage, a process that allows her to reconstruct, fragment, or distort memory. From these foundations, she develops imaginative and surreal compositions that evoke a sense of wonder while confronting the complexities of contemporary life. Her dreamlike worlds are populated with contrasts—beauty and disruption, harmony and conflict—through which she addresses social issues, cultural tensions, and political realities. By combining seemingly opposing images, Sandra provokes reflection and dialogue on cultural phenomena, making her work both deeply personal and universally resonant.
